A group of six renowned travel bloggers are behind the launch of the first association of travel bloggers in Morocco.

This first gathering of travelers and content providers in Morocco aims to promote the culture of travel on a larger scale in Morocco, establish a context of collaboration between professional bloggers and stimulate business collaboration between bloggers and the travel industry in Morocco and abroad.

The founding members of the association share a common passion for travel and a proven experience in creating travel-related content, as well as the ambition to provide a dynamic environment and a favorable ground to develop travel culture in Morocco.

Meet Omar, Rita, Houda, Mouna, Amine and Nadia:  the young talents behind the brand new association.

Omar Oualili is an award-winning travel blogger from Casablanca. He created his travel blog “in a city near you” in 2013 during his first year as an expat in London. Since then, he visited over 85 cities in 40 countries. Find out more about Omar in this interview.

Rita Berrada went on several trips around the world. Finally in 2014, she started telling her stories on a travel blog called “Let’s Travel Happy”, right before hitting the road for another trip to South America. She likes to share her passion and invites along her readers to follow her adventures.

Houda Chaloun shares her travel philosophy which she acquired by being a full-time nomad. She simply travels to look for the greater meaning of life which she shares on her blog “The Moroccan Nomad”. She has been enjoying her status of nomad for over 2 years travelling in South America. She plans on taking another trip into the wilds of Asia soon.

Mouna Belkhayat is a dreamer, travel lover and adventurous explorer. On her blog “C’ROCK la VIE”, she shares her adventures and writes that it is possible for everyone to make their dreams happen.

Amine Laqsiour’s blog “ZeRoadTripper” is where he shares photos, videos and articles which include exclusive stories and a unique insight into travel.

Connect, Share and Inspire

Connect, Share, Inspire; are the core values the association intend to enhance through events and meetings between travel bloggers, tourism professionals and the public. The BVM membership is open to Moroccan Travel Bloggers and a membership campaign will soon be launched through the association’s website and social networks. Meanwhile, the BVM has organised a couple of events already! The first one was a trip to Ouarzazate to discover the region and its beautiful sights like Fint Oasis, Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and Tizi N Tichka road. The second event was a workshop in Casablanca with over 40 attendees. It was a successful event as guests have learnt about the secrets of blogging and were totally inspired by travel stories from members of the BVM.

The BVM is very active on social media. It live streams many of its events and stays in touch with the public on Facebook, Youtube and its website
