Morocco climbs to 64th place in FIFA rankings

Morocco men’s national football team occupied the 64th place in the latest monthly FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released on Thursday.

The Atlas Lions climbed a remarkable 17 spots thanks to their two brilliant successive wins against Cape Verde in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.

With a total of 555 points, Morocco is between the teams of Cameron and Mali.

Cape Verde slipped 7 spots to 47th place.

Our eastern neighbours ranked 33rd, hence moving from the third to the top spot in the African list, followed by Ivory Coast (34), Ghana(38), Senegal (43) and Egypt(44).

Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Columbia and Germany are the top 5 sides in the world.
