Morocco remains in the world’s top 20 largest weapons importers according to the latest report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
The report on global arms purchases, which was released on Monday, placed Morocco 17th on the list.
France remains the largest supplier of weapon for Morocco followed by the United States, Italy and Germany, according to SIPRI Arms Transfers Database.
Aircrafts, missiles and warships were the main imports by Morocco in 2014-2015, according to data gathered by SIPRI.
Neighbouring Algeria is 11th on the list. China, Russia and Italy were its main suppliers.
