Over 500,000 Moroccans have returned to Morocco for the summer holiday

Since the beginning of Operation Marhaba 2018, 531,000 Moroccans living abroad have returned to Morocco to spend their summer.

The figure was revealed by the Minister Delegate in charge of Moroccans living abroad, Abdelkrim Benatiq, who was answering a question in the House of Representatives on “the preparations made to ensure the successful transit of members of the Moroccan community abroad”.

According to the minister, 60% of the Moroccans living in the kingdom chose the air route while the rest chose the sea and road.

As part of Operation Marhaba 2018, which began on June 5, nearly 24 boats were mobilized, including 11 at Port Tanger Med, 4 between Port Tangier city and Tarifa, and 3 between Almeria and Nador.
